About the Event

CSI Visakhapatnam Chapter is a Category-A Chapter of CSI with nearly 3 decades of vibrant existence, having more than 600 life members and 20+ student chapters. The chapter is relentlessly striving to spread IT & Computing related excellence. The chapter had been adjudged as the Best Regional Chapter during the years 2006, 2010, 2014 & 2016 apart from winning the Best National Chapter Award in 2014.

The Conference is organised by Computer Society of India(CSI), Visakhapatnam Chapter in association with Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (Visakhapatnam Steel Plant), with an aim to get practitioners from Academia, Industry, Research Organisations, Government Organisations and NGOs at a common platform for sharing their experience and exchange the ideas to develop cutting edge Industry 4.0 solutions.

Industry 4.0, as the new digital industrial technology, makes it possible to gather and analyze data across machines, enabling faster, more flexible and efficient processes to produce high quality goods at reduced costs. This manufacturing revolution will increase productivity, shift economics, foster industrial growth and modify the profile of the workforce, ultimately improving the competitiveness of companies and regions. Cognitive Technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning will redefine the nature of digital enterprise. Edge Computing with its inherent scalability and lower latency will lead to a connected enterprise ecosystem. Process Automation through Robotics will enable up to higher consistency in compliance and excellence. These technologies used in coherence will change the very way we look and perceive any manufacturing process, bringing huge cost advantage and competitive edge.
