Minutes of the meeting of 1st MC Meeting held on 01-07-2011 at Ukkunagaram Club.

 

During this meeting Annual plan of CSI Vizag Chapter for the year 2011-12 was discussed and following decisions were taken with the approval and consent of the Chair: 

 

1.         Chairman,  CSI Vizag chapter directed the Committee to prepare portfolios for  the MC members.

2.         Chairman directed the committee to make efforts to conduct technical talks every month. It was decided to have talks on subjects like New Technology, Process Control Automation, and Environmental issue, ERP, Android and Mobile Technology.

3.         It was decided to provide Computers along with internet facility and S/W & H/W Training on Computer to Rural Schools /Colleges / ITI’s / Public to promote IT among masses and to see that CSI is contributing to rural development. Sri Paramata Satyanarayana informed that he had visited few rural colleges and approached the managements for conducting rural development programmes.  Prof. PS Avadhani offered to provide training in these development programmes. Course Material in Telugu and Certificates will be  given to the participants of these programmes. Chairman CSI expressed that these programs should be interesting enough to lure the students and the programs should be of minimum 3 day duration.

4.         It was decided to conduct National Student Convention in the month of Sep / Oct 2011. The committee approved the proposal of GIET, Rajamundry to conduct the Student Convention.

5.         The committee also decided to conduct an International Seminar on IT in the month of Dec / Jan 2012. Sri DVB Sarma suggested conducting Regional Convention along with the International Seminar.

6.         The committee decided to hold the YITP contest for region V. It will be held at Visakhapatnam.

7.         The committee decided to promote and develop 3-4 new student chapters and streamline the activities of present student chapters. Annual Chapter Day shall be conducted before the Student Convention for selecting the best Student Chapter.

8.         It was decided that Sri VGC Jayram will be the Editor for the Chapter e-news letter.

9.         It was decided to co-opt Prof. P.S.Avadhani, Sri S Raja, Sri P Chandrasekhar,  Dr S.Srinvasa Rao, Sri SS Choudhary and Sri BV VijayaKumar for the year 2011-12 for the Management Committee to strengthen the Team and to carry out various activities successfully.

10.     Chairman CSI directed the Committee to improve membership base beyond 500 in 2011-12 by special drive for inducting new life members. Incentives could be extended for the same.

11.     Sri DBV Sarma suggested extending Consultancy Service by the Chapter to the members of the Industry at nominal charges. It was accepted by the committee.

12.     It was decided to encourage members for submitting papers on Computer related subjects in various journals and forums.
